Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
155 PM EDT Sun Sep 25 2022

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 154 PM EDT Sun Sep 25 2022

Weak ridging will be in place across the area through Monday with
moisture increasing as a front settles into northern FL and Tropical
Storm Ian moves into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. An E/NE flow will
remain across the local area, with a weak sea breeze possible near
the coast in the afternoon. Some light showers are already in place
across the southern half of the area this afternoon, and scattered
to numerous storms will be possible later. For Monday, numerous to
widespread showers and isolated to scattered storms will be possible
south, with isolated to scattered possible across the northern half
of the area.

For the rest of the period, it will be highly dependent upon the
track of Tropical Storm Ian. Adjusted based on current official
forecast, which brings impacts across the local area mainly Tuesday
night-Thursday night, but with higher uncertainty still in the days
4-5 period, this will continue to adjust with future forecasts.
Everyone should stay tuned to the National Hurricane Center for the
latest forecasts and updates and update your family hurricane plan
and kit if you have not done so already.

.AVIATION...

prevailing and MVFR to IFR possible in storms. Winds become lighter

period.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 154 PM EDT Sun Sep 25 2022

big question mark for Tuesday through the end of the period will be
TS Ian. Mariners need to remain informed on the latest updates from
the NHC regarding the storm.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
